I’m Zach Meyer, a 3D digital artist who concentrates on modeling hi-res and low-res models, UVing, and texturing for games, simulations, and other interactive experiences. My undergrad degree is an Art & Design and New Media Studies, and I have a Master of Science in Interactive Entertainment with a concentration in 3D modeling from UCF’s FIEA program. I also completed coursework in UI/UX design and marketing. I worked at CAE as a Multimedia Technician. I produce high-definition photo-realistic and photo-accurate 2D and 3D interactive media for simulation/emulation scenarios and procedural tasks as part of aviation courseware and other design assignments. I worked on projects for documentation of software with Cumulus, Jira, Smartsheet, and custom programs, along with developing courseware through transferring and updating lessons onto modern software, following specific standards given from clients. I was also tasked in researching solutions for 3D projects in testing and documenting several photogrammetry programs like RealityCapture, MeshRoom, and PolyCam. I worked as a Graphic Technical Support/3D Graphic Artist for Adsync Technologies where I have been creating photorealistic, low-res models of airport buildings and vehicles from satellite imagery which can efficiently run in FAA flight training simulations. In addition, I have been contracted to work on asset and character 3D models in the industry. I have worked with digital, 2D work, animation and UI/UX. I have a strong understanding of traditional art essentials. I’ve learned the art pipeline for 3D modeling and programs used for game/digital art. I use Zbrush for sculpting high poly models and Maya or 3Ds Max for topology and UVs. I have worked on organic assets such as characters and hard surface assets such as vehicles, weapons, robots, and machinery. I utilize Marmoset for baking hi-res models to low-res assets and Substance Painter for PBR materials and textures. I use game engines such as Unreal and Unity to render models. I used Unity during my VR internship at the University of Virginia. At FIEA, I used the control system Perforce. I have been introduced to rigging and 3D animation, along with basic coding from languages such as Python. I have extensive experience with the Adobe Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects. I am a team player at heart and I am very self-motivated. I love working in this field and I will always try my best to make a valuable contribution with my artistic and technical skills to the places I work. Portfolio: _Website not available.
