I'm an avid sound designer based in Kent from the United Kingdom, who's made contributions from a number of different sources such as sample pack input to Noiiz (also known under Samplephonics) and Boiler Room, to exhibition contributions to Schemata (an arts programme sector of Corsica Studios), to music features on NTS, Rinse FM, Dummy Magazine, AQNB and releases on labels such as Alpha Pup (and much more). I have always strived with ambition and hopefully you will see my diligence shines through (with a little bit of faith), which is a testament from my former studies at Canterbury Christ Church University, now as a graduate and awarded first-class honours degree in Creative Music Technology. I am always in motion with projects and would love to channel that drive and contribute to others projects. My music and all-encompassing artistry; entailing graphic design, audio programming, production and sound design to name a few, has caught the attention, approval of numerous high profile artists and musicians. "The complex layers of interesting details, found noises and sound design that form CITYTRONIX’s music make it both distinctive, yet hard to describe." - Noisedart, 2019

uniE608 IDENT Virtual Exhibition - Schemata 2.0 (Corsica Studios Arts Programme Department)
This is recorded footage of one of the virtual exhibition spaces showcased with Schemata - an arts programme run by London nightclub Corsica Studios. The footage provided in this portfolio is an excerpt of one of the sound pieces I created for the space entitled 'The Garden Of Unearthed Delight' - an space filled with anonymity and stripped of identity of it's creators. This space is also accompanied with sculpture and visual works by Anti-Gang collective, A_n0nE and Kline Sinclair. Here's an excerpt statement of the event by Schemata: "IDENT looks to creating with intent. Evolving and forming our identity. What are we? What do we want to be? How do we move beyond? What can we take into the future and how do we make this a success for those artists we work with, our own concept of ourselves as a relevant and creative project and as a community endeavour. We’ve invited artists that we feel have a deep interest in personal and social identity and human physicality and It’s bounds, to bring works that they feel interpret identity in their own personal realm." You can simply visit the space until early August via this link here: https://www.twine.net/signin
    uniE603 I Found My Home
'I Found My Home' is an ambient, new age adjacent single release. This record involves vocals of mine which have been edited, due to it's soft nature it is very faint but it meshes well with the pads that lies underneath it. Retrospectively, the title and the song reflect the sense of wholeness and an epiphany of liberation of oneself - I was trying to encapsulate the feelings of my former self as a child who had a zest for life, and I feel this has been arguably one of the sharpest and clearest feelings I've ever made through sound. The pitched vocal lead over the top that can be heard throughout, juxtaposing to the calmness and serenity of the piece, is more spritely and exuding with excitement to give a sense of rebirth and a fire that has ignited within oneself to spread joy and love. Artwork was sourced from a video still I captured initially for 'Stranger', which has been edited and spruced for this single.
uniE603 Mechanical Soundscape (Taken from 'Virtual Earth, Physical Machine)
'Mechanical Soundscape' is one of four tracks from 'Virtual Earth, Physical Machine' a research project based album during my studies at Canterbury Christ Church University, which is central on abstract reality and how systems have the potential to deceive and confuse the listener of determining between the sounds of physical space (foley, raw recordings, impulses, post-internet field recordings, etc) and synthetic space (processing/digitalisation, emulation, synthesis, AI, post-internet). An elaboration of this is documented once the album is downloaded via my Bandcamp page, which can be found here: https://www.twine.net/signin This project-based album will also include additional packaged items, involving references and appendices, a synopsis of this project alongside alternate artworks. This involves a hefty amount of sound design and editing, digital signal processing, automation/AI, etc. A 2-year anniversary reissue is to take place on May 2021, which will involve more documentation and some additional audio content + excerpts. Glossary "Synthetic space" - the processing and treatment of raw audio (digitising with DSPs such as granular, spectral processing/FFT, automation of pitch, time or volume), generation of pure synthesis, data encoding and lossy data from post-internet (such as low bit-rate or sample rate). "Physical space" - material taken by myself through high fidelity field recordings or through hi-res downloadable content online from sources such as archive.org, impulse responses to capture reverberation of a space (mathematically complex resonances of a space), untreated audio or very little treatment (using software to 'repair' unwanted blemishes in a recording such as de-noising and reducing low-end to prevent overwhelming rumbling).
    uniE603 Inked Streams (Single Version)
'Inked Streams' a classical piece which uses a prepared piano and other unorthodox methods such as utilising a tin, pan and brush which were later implemented during the editing of this record. This is originally sourced from the seamless 3-track EP 'Chamber' back in June 2019. "The new record 'Chamber' by definition of the word itself, explores the self-inward and outward, through introversion and extroversion, drawing lines between public space and private space. Occasional moments such as 'Dripped in Fear' delivers the feeling of living in fear of social constructs, suppression, and stigma, yet paradoxically, seems to also self-express and purge strong emotions in hopes to confront and diffuse its tension in a very performative fashion. 'Inked Streams', the track that is sandwiched between the opening and closing of this record, is an interlude that paces rapidly with melodies that shimmer over the top with its mechanical attack-y texture, like a stab to a fragile piece of glass that bursts into a glitterball, and diffuses as the last speck falls to the ground, leaving nothing but a short-term sparseness at the outro which induces fear of silence from the aftermath. 'Translucence', the opening track for this record - however - is another story. Its message through sonic space delivers nothing but a short-term feeling of delirious, chaotic fun and exuberance, a build that keeps on layering and eventually diffuses so quickly you don't know what hit you. Chamber is simply a record about how the introverted-self meets the extroverted-self, in which discovers the harmony between the two."
    uniE603 Fall
'Fall' is a pop song, more so a hypnogogic pop song in which I tried to encapsulate the era of the 90s in terms of it's tongue-and-cheek sounds and to evoke a different nostalgia of the past. This is probably the first time my vocals have ever been this bold since when I was 13/14 years old, which have always been processed beyond recognition, or buried underneath the production in the past. Artwork was entirely created by myself, from which I found a photo from my mobile phone and began editing.
    uniE603 Stranger
'Stranger' is the debut lead single from the new pop-record 'Clockwork Chloe', from once which was initially released only on SoundCloud and birthed and blossomed throughout lockdown. It embarks on a new sound for CITYTRONIX, which carries heavy tropes of breakbeats and hypnogogic pop - a release - which entails a bold guitar hook that shimmers brightly throughout the choral arrangement with dizzying delays that delivers hypnosis and a sense of euphoria, mere vocal recordings addressing the chemistry of the unknown, and with some underlying synthwork and patchwork. 'Stranger' contains a portion of Spooky Tooth's 'Waitin' For The Wind' throughout. Lyrics An unfamiliar voice, Buried underneath the vessel, A typical misconception, Just like a stinging nettle, If you really wanna know, Touch me and feel the metal/mettle, Feel the metal/mettle, Songwriting, vocals and recordings by Drew Holliday + Spooky Tooth Production, mix and master, artwork and graphics by Drew Holliday Drums by Spooky Tooth
