App hackaton promo + lightsabers!

I made this for my university’s mobile app contest, where high school kids are invited to group into teams and develop a mobile app project in a 24-hour jam. I personally planned, storyboarded, filmed and edited the project, with the 3D logo provided by a dear colleague.
At the time this was produced, we were in the middle of a Star Wars hype because “The Force Awakens” was just recently released in theatres, so we thought it’d be a funny idea to have mobile apps that could procure lightsabers out of them and have a sword fight. The actors, my fellow students from the faculty, held metal rods which I keyframed as lightsabers, and added the appropriate lighting, visual, and sound effects. #video #advert #videoeditor #filmdirector
