As an orchestrator my recent credits include ‘Project Hail Mary’, ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’, and ‘Wonka’, along with many other titles.
I also develop various adaptive music systems for video games and other applications. I am fluent in audio middleware programs Wwise and Fmod, and love to create modular and adaptive music experiences for the games and real-world applications I compose for. For ‘LifeScore Music’, I designed and composed music that responds in real-time to activities like driving, sport and meditation.
I began my musical journey as a jazz saxophonist, and after developing from improvisation into composition and production, I went on to gain an Undergraduate Degree and the Gold Medal Award for Composition from the RNCM, and a Masters Degree in Composition for Screen from the RCM. With this mix of a jazz upbringing, contemporary film music composition and orchestration, and electronic and technological innovation, I have always been drawn towards creating modern, unique, and unforgettable experiences through music.

Lead composer and designer of adaptive, cellularly generative music systems, for a company with product offerings such real-time in-car driving adaptive musical scores, multi-genre one-click artist remixes for superfans, and infinite music streams for chill/focus/sleep/energy/etc. The LifeScore engine creates infinite adaptive music comprised of pre-composed ‘cells’, all composed entirely by humans, and feature recordings from top musicians, in major studios such as Abbey Road. Leading a team of composers to create musical content to brief, demonstrating and presenting processes to the team for them to use as reference, and assisting with each individual’s personal and professional development in the context of the company. Additionally, relaying instructions and company vision from upper management to my team, while reporting and collaborating with my manager and giving insight into the morale and ideas of my team in kind. Designing and innovating on user experiences and products for the company to implement, often requiring elaborate, fully functioning prototypes achieved by way of fluent use of complex software such as Wwise and Max/MSP, and presenting to upper management for consideration, using powerpoint and Miro boards for dynamic and clear visual engagement, followed by Q&A and productive group decision making.
Composing, orchestrating, or printing and delivering music for media productions, in discussion with directors or other composers, responding to feedback to produce and refine music that facilitates and enhances the client’s vision, adapting and communicating smoothly to help produce a wondrous result, often under extraordinarily pressured deadlines. Fluent in most industry-standard software: Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton Live, Protools, Sibelius, Dorico, Wwise, FMod, Max/MSP, and is a very quick learner, accustomed to picking up new processes and software that the project needs. Working remotely and independently, being self sufficient, handling relationships with many clients, making friends and presenting to new people in busy settings or ceremonies. Also employing good organisational skills, keeping clear records and managing cash flow as part of being a disciplined freelancer.
