Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexandru Pelmus. I am based in London with 4 years of experience as a freelance filmmaker. Nowadays, I have a strong enthusiasm for working in a team environment. The main reason is to share the knowledge I’ve gained over the years with my team, while also learning and receiving the same from them. Storytelling is the strongest part I am improving at the moment. I am inspired by years of consuming high-quality Spanish vloggers, as well as American creators like Casey Neistat. They structure their videos in a simple but well-thought way, allowing the audience to explore their thoughts naturally. Most of my freelance jobs are commercial, focused on showcasing products in creative ways, from presenting a table tennis tournament with a distinctive commentator style to exploring the sexiest coffee shop around East London’s neighbourhood. LaCulpaEsDelCoulant, an African gastronomy YouTube channel, contacted me to work as the videographer for the first eight videos of the channel. I travelled between London and Paris, showcasing the African cuisine community. Thanks to the creative direction behind LaCulpaEsDelCoulant, I helped bring reportage-style video vlogs to life with a dynamic approach, producing the channel’s teaser, interviewing an Afro-vegan chef, and presenting information about different African countries' cuisines.
