I’m a musician and composer who recently graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a BMus (Hons) in Electronic (Popular) Music Production and Songwriting. During my studies I expanded into composing for animation, games, and other visual media, collaborating with animators from institutions like UAL and CalArts, and with independent studios to tell stories through sound.
Beyond songwriting, I have collaborated with the London Symphony Orchestra on a project directed by Rachel Portman and contributed to large-scale projects such as Illuminated River, Derry Halloween, Blackpool Illuminations, and the Barbican Silent Film Series. I also perform and teach: I play and conduct in GSMD session orchestra, lead school ensembles, and have been teaching private violin since July 2021. I enjoy combining performance, composition, and education to create immersive musical experiences.

This is a Kpop track composed, arranged, mixed, and mastered by myself under the alias “ECHURA”. This project collaborates which Korean artist “BAYLEE”, as well as a team of highly talented animators.

This project for commercial film production company sought to find a composer to create a soundtrack for a new independent film. This project aimed to incorporate Celtic folklore to complement the Cumbrian setting of the story.
"For this project, I drew inspiration from the rich tapestry of Celtic folklore inherent to the Cumbrian setting, channeling it into a violin solo that echoes the expressive quality of a traditional fiddle. This is paired with a cello solo, crafted to evoke a sense of dialogue and resonate deeply with Andrea’s character and background. To further enhance the atmospheric tension, I incorporated subtle mechanical soundscapes within the music, including an unsettling element - distorted baby cries - that underscores the haunting undertones of the narrative.

This large scale project features a talented team of UAL animators. The lead animation director, “Yanbin Wang” brought me on to this project as independent composer and sound designer, allowing me to exhibit my skills on a much larger-scale animation than usual.
The music in this animation is extremely tense, creating a suspenseful feeling throughout, complementing the high stakes of the animation, in a mission to save the world. The animation displays different scenes, each of which have different cues which different moods, despite the consistency in instrumentation and timbre.
