This was a piece of instrumental and SFX created for a 9 minute spoken word and live stage performance that journeyed through various contrasting moods from dark and eerie, to hopeful and triumphant. It involved using sound effects for definitive moments and experimenting with instrumentation to bring the key sections to life. It was a fun one! music instrumental soundtrack liveperformance stage
    paper Muchuu

I first stepped into the music world with my sister as one-half of the electro-pop duo Muchuu. Within months of releasing our music online BBC Introducing picked us up, and suddenly our tracks were on Radio 1 naming us “Record of the Week," with Tom Robinson, Huw Stephens, and Nick Grimshaw as supporters. We built a global fanbase, played festivals like Bestival and HowTheLightGetsIn, and even shared a stage with Florence and the Machine at the BBC Introducing Christmas Party. NME featured us, our track Somebody Tell made it into a TV advert. The response from fans may help describe the style of our music at the time, saying things like, “This is magical — I’ve never heard anything like it,” and “Your songs got me through some tough times.” Muchuu was dreamy, playful, and unique - and it gave me the foundation to keep creating music that connects with people sonically and emotionally too.

    paper Sign Of Angelo

As a solo artist, I’ve poured my past experiences into Sign of Angelo, blending cinematic soundscapes with heartfelt songwriting. My debut album To the Human (2021), entirely self-written and produced, was named “Artist of the Week” by BBC Introducing and drew heartfelt reactions from listeners: “It’s amazing — I full-on cried to the song ‘Son,’” “Perfect for gazing out the window as the trees rush by,” and “Freaking brilliant! I’m hooked!” In 2024, my EP These Sound Better in Summer earned me the same BBC recognition, proving to my relief that the music continues to resonate! With 18 years’ experience in music, video production and design, I create every part of the Sign of Angelo world myself — authentic, cinematic, and designed to move people.

Below are some examples of tracks and the accompanying music video I created:

I created this podcast intro and outro music for a podcast tackling the topic of self-improvement and mental discipline. It needed to be edgy and moody with an electronic vibe. music jingle beat
    paper Bespoke Live Dance Compositions

I have created a number of bespoke pieces of music for live dance performances, tailoring each soundtrack to the vision for the choreography. My work has classically blended genres, shifts tempos, and layers contrasting styles, giving dancers a dynamic soundscape for the performances.

    paper Stronger: Short Film

For Stronger, I took on multiple creative roles: writing, filming, editing, and composing the original soundtrack. The film explores themes of struggle, resilience, and faith set in a future apocalyptic world. As composer I created a signature vibe for the whole film, creating musical layers that ranged from subtle emotional underscoring in quieter, personal moments to more pronounced textures when tension and transformation occur, like a wolf chase!

paper Lofi Beats Soundtrack - Communion Architecture

I was commissioned to compose music to accompany a series of architectural walkthrough videos. The brief was to enhance the grand sense of space while keeping the sound modern and unobtrusive. To achieve this, I created a lofi, ethereal sound palette — open, spacious textures with a paired-back feel that allowed the visuals to breathe.

paper Everything Changes (Live Album 2012)

I was one of the principal songwriters and collaborators on Everything Changes, Freedom Church’s first major worship album. The project began with an intense season of co-writing and refining songs together as a team, shaping lyrics and melodies that we knew could carry in a live setting. From there, we recorded the album live in front of our congregation — an unforgettable experience of capturing the raw energy of worship in the room.

Afterwards, I was involved in the process of overdubs and post-production, ensuring the live sound kept its authenticity while reaching the highest possible quality. It was a balancing act between the passion of the live recordings and the polish needed for a lasting record. For me, Everything Changes was a defining project: learning how to take songs from the writing room, to the stage, and finally into the studio, producing music that would go on to be sung around the world.

    paper Barbarians (Live Album 2020)

‘Barbarians’ was a studio album I co-wrote and produced with Freedom Church. The project had a very deliberate theme — capturing the grit, energy, and conviction of a community determined to live boldly in faith. The songs were written to feel urgent and raw, with strong rhythms and direct lyrics that carried that message.

The writing process was collaborative, shaping ideas as a team and refining them into songs that worked both as recordings and in live worship. In the studio, I focused on arrangements and production choices that gave the record a tougher edge while still being accessible and singable.

For me, ‘Barbarians’ was about exploring a different side of our sound: more aggressive, driven, and uncompromising. It stretched us musically and creatively, and the songs quickly became part of the life of our church across different nations.

    paper Insatiable – Short Film

I composed the original score for Insatiable, a dramatic short film in which a drug dealer’s younger brother is drawn into the darker side of the business to pay off a debt. The story is gritty and tense, so my goal was to support that tension without overwhelming it — to provide atmosphere, texture, and emotional weight, using weird, distorted elements.

Working closely with the director, I identified the moments where music should breathe and where it should propel the narrative. I leaned into minimal motifs, ambient textures, and carefully placed cues to underline moral conflict and internal struggle.

paper The Butterfly Effect of God - Documentary

For this short film, I not only composed many elements of the soundtrack and sound design but also edited the video itself — bringing the visuals and music together into a single, cohesive piece. The story contrasts and tells the story of how two very different lives collided and impacted one another - one on the streets of Cambodia and another facing a medical crisis across the world. My role was to make what was a complex vision flow smoothly and draw out the amazing human stories with emotion and clarity.

On the music side, I created a score that could sit gently under intimate, personal moments while also rising to meet the more dramatic turns in the narrative. As an editor, I arranged the interviews, gathered and chose b-roll to dramatize moments, paced the visuals and storytelling, ensuring that picture and sound supported each other. Having the ability to both score and edit the film gave me a rare perspective — I could shape the rhythm, tone, and emotional arc from both sides, creating a unified experience that connected with audiences.

paper New With Tags (RTS Award winner, 2012)

Soundtrack for a short drama–thriller film ‘New With Tags’ about a young father who in overwhelmed by his situation. It had no dialogue so music was much more part an crucial part of the script itself than other projects I have done.
