In 2024, I collaborated with director and creator Simone Gervasio on the trailer for the documentary “The Pirate on the Floor”, now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. As Sound Designer, I handled the complete sound design from scratch, focusing on building powerful impact sounds and enhancing the narrative rhythm and movement of the breakdancing story.
I created custom impact effects and layered cinematic percussion to emphasize key moments of tension, energy, and emotional peaks, perfectly synced with the editing and photography. These elements – from deep, resonant hits to sharp percussive builds – were designed to drive the trailer’s pace, heighten the sense of motion, and amplify the protagonist’s journey without overpowering the visuals.
All sounds were built entirely from custom sources and processed layers to ensure authenticity and cohesion, delivering a dynamic, immersive audio experience that supports the motivational tone of the trailer.
