The Princess with the Golden Curls
Children’s Book Illustration — Full Production

A complete illustration package for a self-published children’s picture book, developed end-to-end from initial concept through to print-ready files.

The scope of work included 12 fully illustrated spreads, a cover design, and complete book typesetting. Character development was built from the ground up — including full character turnarounds, expression sheets, and prop design — to ensure visual consistency across every page.
The story follows a compassionate young princess across a warm, richly detailed medieval world. The illustration style blends soft digital painting with expressive character work, created in Procreate, with a colour palette and narrative tone designed specifically for young readers aged 4–8.

Every element of the visual world — from the princess’s village architecture to market stalls, clothing, and secondary characters — was designed as part of a cohesive visual system built to support the story.

    Tools: Procreate, Adobe Photoshop
Deliverables: Cover, 12 illustrated spreads, character sheets, expression sheets, turnarounds, prop designs, typeset print-ready files
