My name is Ilenia Loddo, and I’m a freelance illustrator and editorial designer based in Cagliari. Images have always been my way of thinking, expressing myself, and telling stories. I've always loved observing them, creating them, refining them, and bringing them to life. My main influences come from horror cinema and literature — from Tim Burton to John Carpenter, from Edgar Allan Poe to Clive Barker. In my work, I strive to create the perfect atmosphere, one that draws the viewer into the visual narrative, with a particular focus on the use of light, shadow, and framing. I’m passionate about every aspect of editorial design — from illustrated spreads and cover design to layout composition, from exploring visual language to selecting the most effective fonts — always with the goal of crafting a book that is meticulously designed in every detail. Between 2022 and 2023, I published the first two volumes of the series Le terrificanti scoperte del Dottor Kraus — Le Cogas and Le Panas — published by Camena Edizioni. In 2024, I created the illustrations and graphic design for the short story collection Oltre la morte e altri racconti– Jack London, published by Blackdog Edizioni. In 2025, I illustrated the horror anthology Sanatorium – Villa Clara – Various Authors, also published by Camena Edizioni.
