I composed the original musical score for Akin Ka Lang, a vertical drama TV mini series consisting of 50+ episodes. As the sole composer for the series, I created the complete musical score across the entire production, developing recurring themes and emotional motifs that evolved alongside the story and its characters.

The music was written to support a wide range of dramatic moments, including romance, conflict, suspense, and emotional turning points, while maintaining a cohesive musical identity throughout the series. Working within a fast-paced television production schedule, I delivered original scores for each episode that enhanced the narrative, complemented the performances, and reinforced the emotional impact of every scene.

This project showcases my experience in long-form episodic scoring, thematic development, and composing consistent, story-driven music across an extensive multi-episode production.

I composed the original musical score for Huling Sayaw Ni Erlinda (2024), an award-winning dramatic short film. The score was written to support the film’s emotional storytelling, using expressive themes and cinematic orchestration to enhance the characters’ journey and the narrative’s most poignant moments.

The music was carefully synchronized to picture, reinforcing the film’s pacing, emotional depth, and dramatic impact while allowing the story to unfold naturally. Throughout the project, I focused on creating a cohesive musical language that strengthened the connection between the audience and the film’s central themes.

Huling Sayaw Ni Erlinda received the Best Short Film award at the 72nd FAMAS Awards (Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences), making this project a significant milestone in my career as a film composer.

I composed the original musical score for When Magic Hurts (2024), a romantic comedy feature film. The score was crafted to support the film’s emotional journey, balancing heartfelt moments, lighthearted charm, and comedic timing through original thematic music.

Working closely with the film’s narrative, I developed musical themes that enhanced character relationships, complemented the pacing of each scene, and reinforced the emotional arc of the story. The score blends cinematic orchestration with contemporary elements to create a warm and engaging musical experience that supports both the romance and humor throughout the film.

My work on When Magic Hurts received industry recognition with a nomination for Best Musical Score at the 73rd FAMAS Awards (Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences), highlighting the impact of the film’s music and my contribution to its storytelling.

The score was developed to support the film’s emotional storytelling, reflecting themes of resilience, ambition, and personal conviction while complementing its historical setting. Through cinematic orchestration and thematic composition, the music enhances character development, dramatic moments, and the overall narrative across the feature film.

The music was crafted to immerse viewers in the film’s eerie world, blending haunting melodies, cinematic orchestration, and escalating tension to enhance the trailer’s storytelling. The score supports the pacing of the edit while amplifying moments of dread, suspense, and anticipation, helping establish the film’s dark and supernatural atmosphere.
