    uniE621 Logo Design
For this graphic design case study, I was tasked with refreshing the social profile and logo for the Durham Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. The organization wanted an updated logo that incorporated a recently commissioned art piece, their importance and connection to the city of Durham, and the Durham Bull. To accomplish this, I utilized Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. To begin the design process, I conducted extensive research on the city of Durham, the organization's values, and the symbolism behind the Durham Bull. I then created a mood board to gather inspiration and generate ideas for the logo redesign. This allowed me to explore different color palettes, typography options, and visual elements that would best represent the organization's mission. Once I had a clear direction, I used Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to bring my ideas to life. I started by digitizing the commissioned art piece by Clarence Heyward, ensuring that the colors and details were accurately represented. This art piece became the centerpiece of the logo, representing the organization's commitment to the arts. Next, I incorporated the city of Durham into the design. Using Adobe Photoshop, I created a silhouette of the city skyline, emphasizing recognizable landmarks such as the Durham Bull. This added a local touch and showcased the organization's connection to its community. To tie everything together, I carefully selected fonts that conveyed a sense of elegance and professionalism. The typography was chosen to complement the artwork and create a cohesive visual identity for the Durham Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. The final logo design was met with great enthusiasm and successfully achieved the organization's goal of refreshing their social profile. The incorporation of the recently commissioned art piece, the city of Durham, and the Durham Bull created a visually striking and meaningful logo that resonated with both members and the community. In conclusion, this case study highlights my ability to utilize Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to refresh a social profile and create a logo that incorporates various elements while capturing the essence and values of an organization. My research, attention to detail, and design skills allowed me to successfully meet the client's objectives and create a visually engaging and impactful graphic.

In this case study, I worked with a client who had recently been installed as the president of the Auxiliary to the National Medical Association. The client wanted to maintain the organization's brand identity while also infusing her own personal flair into the design. Using Adobe Illustrator, I began by editing the assets provided by the client to ensure they aligned with the organization's branding guidelines. I carefully adjusted colors, typography, and other design elements to create a cohesive and professional look. Next, I focused on layout design for the program. I used Adobe Illustrator's powerful tools to arrange the content in a visually pleasing and organized manner. I ensured that important information was easily accessible and that the overall design reflected the prestige and importance of the event. Throughout the design process, I collaborated closely with the client, incorporating her feedback and ideas to create a program that truly represented her vision. I made adjustments to the design based on her input, ensuring that her personal flair was tastefully integrated while maintaining the organization's brand identity. The final program design was met with great enthusiasm and successfully showcased the client's role as the president of the Auxiliary to the National Medical Association. The layout was intuitive and visually appealing, capturing the attention of attendees and conveying the importance of the event. In conclusion, this case study demonstrates my ability to create professional designs while incorporating the client's personal style and maintaining brand identity. uniE621 Sports Poster
When my son committed to Lenoir-Rhyne University to play football, I wanted to create a special piece to commemorate this exciting moment in his life. Using my expertise in Adobe Photoshop, I decided to incorporate elements that would resonate with both my son and the university. First, I included a picture of the new stadium that LRU had recently built. This showcased the school spirit and pride that my son would be a part of as a football player. Additionally, I updated my son's profile picture to reflect his commitment, adding his jersey number to further personalize the image. To add a touch of playfulness, I included a picture of the bear mascot in the background, seemingly floating in the clouds. This added an element of whimsy and excitement to the design. Using my skills in Adobe Photoshop, I blended the bear mascot seamlessly into the image, ensuring a harmonious and professional look. Lastly, I added a text element, which included my son’s name, appearing as an autograph and his information. Throughout this process, I utilized a moodboard to brainstorm and gather inspiration before diving into the design. This allowed me to craft a visually appealing and cohesive piece that would resonate with my son and capture the essence of Lenoir-Rhyne’s football program. Overall, this case study showcases my ability to combine various elements, such as photography, graphic design, and text, to create a visually engaging and meaningful piece.

Jon passed away tragically in 2005. It was an honor to design these tickets for the party. I used Photoshop to edit photos and Adobe Illustrator for the design layout.
