Lorraine has spent years delighting the music world with an accomplished, elegant, and stylish sound. After performing on the national stage and on television in Ireland in the 80s and 90s, she raised three children, and a chance meeting with her idol Barbra Streisand in Italy a couple of years ago reignited her passion to focus again on her own music. She has honed a smooth, soulful blend of jazz and pop with a Celtic flavour—honouring her Irish roots—and in 2018, she released an EP under Lorrai and started gigging again. Her own songs tackle universal feelings like love, loss, pain and attraction. Guided by influences such as Barbra Streisand and Ella Fitzgerald, she assembled Lorraine and The Flames for a jazz-inspired set that honours the Great American Songbook.
