I’m Lucy, a young musician who specializes in vocals and guitar, from Bradford, West Yorkshire. I work best remotely due to my physical disability, but have adequate skill and equipment to produce quality work, and will be able to do in-person performances if required.
For the past 10 years I have worked on numerous projects involving music and acting, ranging from composing my own songs, to providing vocals/music/voice acting for others, and performing on stage. I am extremely proficient in guitar and singing, having composed original songs and soundtracks for various projects over the years. I also have decent Piano skills, and am learning the violin. From a young age I have been passionate about creating and composing, having auditioned for and been accepted into three colleges by the end of my GCSEs, one for English Literature, history, & Criminology, and the other two for Musical Theatre. I plan to set off my career through freelance work, providing music for other people’s projects as well as working on my own.
My project experiences include being hired for voice acting in a current horror drama podcast, ‘The Children of Room 56’, solo singing performances at concerts during my adolescence (Bradford Cathedral 2019 where I sang ‘Times are hard for dreamers’ from ‘Amelie’ the musical, and St. George’s hall 2020, where I sang ‘No One Else’ from ‘Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812’), Composing and producing over 20 songs from scratch with my writer and bandmate Lila, in our band ‘Lucy and Lila’, (of which 19 are released on YouTube), and having two of those songs featured in two different college/university short film projects. Our music has also been featured on a local radio station (BCB Radio) with four songs being showcased as ‘track of the week’ on four different occasions. During my education I have also participated in small theatre productions, such as ‘Les Miserables’ at the Bradford Playhouse with a theatre company, ‘Legally Blonde’ and ‘Bring It On’ at secondary school, and am currently working on a musical adaptation of ‘Bad Girls’ (the musical) with my college, to be performed at a theatre in Leeds. I have also had experience teaching guitar and ukulele to younger years in secondary school, and performing showcases of our work in the winter and summer concerts held there.
Academically, I have all of my GCSE’s, with a Distinction* in BTEC music, all A’s in English language, English literature, and Drama, two Distinctions in lower level Musical theatre exams with LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts)- at ages 11 & 12, and a Merit in lower level Drama with LAMDA at age 12.
