I am an artist-turned-engineer with a passion for illustration and a knack for 3D modeling. My favorite mediums are digital art, watercolor, pen-and-ink, and charcoal, although I do enjoy a solid mixed-media piece (or sculpture) on occasion! paper Milestone Heroes - Set 54, Fungal Caverns

I loved working on the Fungal Caverns set. For this set I designed no fewer than 14 varieties of decorative mushrooms, each of which could be printed support-free on an FDM printer. Each mushroom had a distinct silhouette and could be easily identified in a lineup. I also designed a series of slime molds, wall-climbing fungus, and brain molds.

Alongside the smaller sculpts I designed 3 giant, tree-like mushrooms and a demonic, “devil’s finger” inspired mushroom in 4 different growth stages. Once all the assets were created, I decorated the existing Cavern theme with the mushrooms. All in all, this set topped off at a whopping 90+ tiles, and is one of the largest sets to date!

paper Milestone Heroes - Set 55, Ancient Mines Expansion

This set mostly comprised of mixing existing sets together. As an expansion, the goal was to expand the Mines theme across different biomes and settings, so minecart tracks could be transitioned into and out of different themes. Example: A mine in a generic cave moving into a mine in a glacial cave. This set reached the 75 piece mark, of which I created roughly a third.

paper Milestone Heroes - Set 56, Spiders' Den

This set was extremely difficult yet unusually rewarding. For this set, I took Milestone Heroes’ existing Cavern’s theme and added thick, layered cobwebs to the walls and floor. While simple on the surface, the cobwebs were unexpectedly difficult to build; Cobwebs are not meant to be printed without supports, it seems! (These cobwebs can, of course.)

This set went through several stages of ideation, and the cobweb design took many passes to hammer out. In the end I designed no fewer than 48 different iterations of the cobweb assets. Once we were happy with the cobweb design, I added the webs to the walls and created a series of webbed floors. In the end, this set included ~75 tiles. In addition to those 75 tiles, I designed other assets such as webbed egg sacks, spiders, open egg sacks, and web-coated treasure.

paper Milestone Heroes - Set 57, Witches' Lair

For this set I took Milestone Heroes’ existing Caverns theme and reskinned it with clusters of tangled roots. The intent of the set was to appear as a series of underground tunnels resembling scenes from “The Last Witch Hunter.” Ultimately, this set included ~75+ unique tiles, including 12 new cavern tiles of my own design.

paper Milestone Heroes - Set 59, Traps and Hazards

I engineered, designed, and digitally sculpted a library of decorative and functional assets to use used throughout the set. Assets included: A custom dragon head, three varieties of plug-in fireballs, three varieties of plug-in gas clouds, three varieties of plug-in water jets, two spiked logs, a katana blade, three swinging guillotines, and four custom-sculpt gargoyle heads. I also assisted in the early stages of the set through concept art and brainstorming.

paper Milestone Heroes - Set 58, Passages and Puzzels

For this set I engineered a large, decorative, woven-root archway within the style of Milestone Hero’s “Raven’s Wood” theme. As with everything I design for Milestone, the archway can be printed without supports on an FDM 3D printer. Additionally, I created 32 distinct runic tiles utilizing the Nordic alphabet and a set of pre-existing magic symbols utilized by Milestone in prior collections. The tiles were engineered to be inserted in Milestone’s custom tiling system.
