Gravemoth is an independent grimdark studio working across video games and tabletop. Active projects include SUNGRAVE — a vertical-scrolling shooter / adventure hybrid — and Wrath of the Three-Headed Monkey, a tabletop RPG supplement for Pirate Borg / Mörk Borg. Atmospheric, dread-soaked, lived-in worlds across both mediums.
Project lead and music contributor on Wrath of the Three-Headed Monkey — a standalone tabletop RPG supplement compatible with Pirate Borg and Mörk Borg. “A sandbox of tropical rot, documenting the final hours of a shipwrecked crew among the festering isles.” Original ambient/atmospheric music composition for table-play alongside writing, design, and project direction.
Lead designer and creative director on SUNGRAVE — a grimdark vertical-scrolling shooter with adventure-game hub sections, set aboard a mega-carrier carrying the last of humanity after AI machines destroy Earth. Five acts, 25 pilots, 25 ships, permadeath, branching choices that reshape the world between missions.
Sound design is central to the narrative. The Choir — the game’s hidden antagonist — speaks through targeting systems, mid-mission whispers, and the synthesised voices of pilots the player has lost. Ambient design across the carrier’s 22 hub areas carries texture and information that dialogue doesn’t. Built in Electron + JavaScript with a custom dialogue runtime, branching WorldState save schema, and a pixel-art aesthetic.
