Hi, I’m Nodira Noor, a film and media composer based in Sydney. I completed my Master in Screen Music Composition at AFTRS, where I studied under Cameron Patrick. I work across animation, documentary, drama, and advertising, and I love collaborating with filmmakers to bring stories to life through music. My career in the music and film industry spans back to 2007 in Uzbekistan, and I’ve earned international recognition, including a nomination for Best Original Soundtrack in 2010 and an award for Best Song of the Year at Uzbekistan MMTV. I’ve scored numerous films and have ongoing collaborations with Australian and Uzbekistan filmmakers.
Recent projects include orchestral scores for Last Donut (premiered at the Hong Kong International Film Festival in 2025) and Call It Anything (premiered at the Adelaide Film Festival in 2023 and the Saint-Tropez International Film Festival in France in 2024); Not Yet (premiered at Flickerfest International FF and won at WRPN International Women FF). In 2024 I was selected for Composer Placement Award, which led to a collaboration with Australian composer Hylton Mowday on multiple episodes of the animated series Flower and Flour produced by Cheeky Little Media and premiering on ABC Kids Australia since March 2026. I’m passionate about hybrid orchestral and electronic scores and bringing authentic musical voices to diverse stories.
