Nov’08- Nov’10 Blue Gem Eyewear Responsible for eyewear design ranges on a licence based business model. Work involved trend reports, visiting shows, conceptual ideation, production drawings, cmf design, form design / engineering and liasing with factories in China and HK. Brands included Patrick Cox, Storm, Kangol, Jasper Conran and Chloe. Nov’06 Disney Conceptual design for a range of lighting, homewares and luggage for the Disney brand. I was engaged to ideate and visualise a range of concepts that leveraged the brand and certain key characters within the Disney port folio. Nov’17- Mar’19 Teekri Designed a range of homewares and jewellery for the Indian Teekri brand. The work involved travel to India. The client was well established in another market but wanted to diversify and capitalise on the uniqueness of their wood post production technique. Nov’10- May’17 Kohler Mira I worked on a retained agreement from April 2011 - May 2017. I worked at the Cheltenham and London studios for Kohler, Mira and Rada brands. Senior Industrial Designer developing a range of products for both Kohler and Mira. Products included: Mira brassware Aspects range. Mira Fluency (Red Dot and iF winner) Iconic contemporary product with a lever that hovers above the spout, the Mira Fluency taps were designed with ease of control and precision in mind. Mira Switch shower handset (iF and Red Dot Winner). Mira Go Electric Shower. Mira Advance electric shower. Mira Sport development. Mira Jump. Future concept work for Mira and Kohler. Modern Master project with the Kohler US studio. Work involved strategy, conceptual sketching, development, surface generation and 3D refinement. May’22- Present Ampere (Dusk Smart Sunglasses) Responsible for all Industrial Design. Concept through to production, including CMF and surface generation. Royalty, consultancy and shares. Dusk Sport - launched Jan’23 - CES Innovation Award. The ultimate sports sunglasses designed with game-changing tint-adjustable lenses and built-in premium audio. Dusk Rx - The First Light and Touch Responsive Prescription-Ready Glasses w Instant Electronic Tint Control. I designed a launch range of 6 models from concept to production. Launched Oct’23. Dec’22- Sept’23 Ford Worked as a consultant with D-Ford. Visualising and ideating within specific programs of work. Worked within a small team within D-Ford.

Design Director at Cacti Juice Ltd

Director of design consultancy based in Covent Garden focussing on the communication of brand values via the use of 3-dimensional form. This included Industrial Design, Structural Packaging and Transport Design. I managed a portfolio of clients that included Tesco, Cadbury, Psion, Anritsu, Hasbro, Sodastream and Lec. As design Director I had hands on experience which included new business client liaison, conceptual design and overseeing design development.

Freelance Design Consultant at Juice

As a freelance consultant I continued to work with Grey Matter in addition to other London based agencies which included Design Acumen, Design Bridge, Doug Barber, Frazer Designers, Brandsmiths, Holmes & Merchant, IDEO, PSD Associates, Tin Horse, What If?, PI3 Innovation and Isoworth. The work as a freelance consultant involved conceptual idea generation, visualisation, detail development and project management.

Senior Industrial Designer at Grey Matter, London

I was responsible for product aesthetics in the context of brand communication. I worked in a multi disciplinary team of strategic branding experts, graphic designers and industrial Designer. These two years provided a huge influence into the methos by which I approached a conventional product / marketing brief. The client base consisted of blue chip brands which included Psion, Lec, Zenecca ICI, Eriksson, World Brands, Hugo Boss, Thermos and Lever Bros. During my work at Grey Matter I trained on Unigraphics.

Futures Design Manager at Level 6

Managed all Industrial Design concept work and new business design pitches within the studio. This involved interpreting a brief or brand and creating a front end creative input into the most live projects that went through the studio. Clients included Linn hi-fi, Ferranti electric meters, Fiskars garden equipment and Speakabus banking telecoms.

Industrial design, transport and structural packaging designer. Worked on a large range of projects from aircraft interiors for Bae, AIM, Virgin Atlantic, Crossair, helicopter interiors for Westland, FMCG products for Lever and Unipath, van interior for LDV and consumer product design for Salter and Connexions.

Freelance Industrial / Vehicle Designer at Design Storz (Austria)

Freelance contract designer. Conceptual sketch development - sports seat for Audi which was taken as far as full sized tape drawings prior to clay modelling.

Industrial Designer at Raffo Design Associates

Freelance contract designer. Worked on a large range of consumer products ranging from shower cubicles, tea makers, lawnmowers, sink faucets and street furniture. I was engaged in a concept generation and detail development capacity.

Freelance Industrial Designer at I.D.S.

Technical, aesthetic and ergonomic design for a range of aircraft interior projects. Clients included Bae Corporate Jets and Pilatus, a Swiss based aircraft manufacturer. In addition to aircraft projects I was engaged on detail design work on range of gearbox castings and conceptual exterior proposals for JCB.
