    This year, I had the absolute pleasure of composing the original soundtrack for an independent film director. The story takes place in Tuscany, where a mother faces the difficult challenge of raising her Black daughter in a harsh, traditional, small-town environment. Her love becomes the driving force that creates an unbreakable bond between them, despite the prejudice surrounding their lives.

    “Till I Saw Her” aims to capture that unconditional love and the strength that mothers find when it comes to protecting their children.

    The song is performed by singer Abbie Wright, a young musician with a bright future thanks to her expressive voice and her ability to convey deep emotional meaning. I also had the pleasure of performing the electric piano part, and together with her voice, we sought to evoke the core emotion of the film.
