Ece Ekren is a DJ based in Berlin.
I made some videos for her social media, to show her songwriting/production process, and to promote some of her performances. I particularly put effort into showing aspects of her artistry and her personality.
HYROX is a race that combines running and workout stations.
Two participants wanted to have a video from their race on one of these events. I shot their whole course, including 8 workout stations with 1km run in-between. I then edited the footage into a short video that they could use on social media.
Techno Türken is a DJ based in Berlin.
I shot a live set from a festival and edited the footage to create a promotional video for future events.
I am also a musician and I made this music video for my song “Dressed in Red”.
For this video, I had this concept in mind: black shadow puppets-like animated silhouettes over a dark red background, and a dynamic lyric animation. I shot photos of myself and turned them into the black silhouettes, and made all the design and animation.
I am also a musician and I made this music video for my song “Ghosttown”.
The concept I had for this video was to show several alternative realities inspired by my own life experiences. I chose to have the same setting for every scene: a simple forest.
I directed the video and edited it, carefully selecting each shot, applying different color grading to give each “reality” a different style, and adding some tree branch effects to create various split screen effects throughout the video.
Behind the Refractions is a series of videos where I explained the creation process of an album I made, Refracted.
The themes of glass and refraction are very strong in the album, and I wanted to show this visually in the video, which can be seen in the intro and the various transitions and effects.
La Quarantaine du court-métrage was a French online short movie contest taking place during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown. Every week, a new theme was decided, and anyone could submit a short movie under 5 minutes respecting the theme and the lockdown restrictions.
I made a short movie for six of these themes with the help of some friends. Most of these movies were written, shot and edited over the course of one weekend.
Chris Herrmann and Raphaël Schweitzer are two musicians based in Hannover, Germany. They performed the songs “Zunder” and “Dance with me” at Keller Drei, a space dedicated to art.
Using footage from three cameras recording the performances simultaneously, I edited these two music videos, always keeping in mind the musical aspect and enhancing each of the musicians’ skills visually.
I was inspired by the song 911 by Lady Gaga and decided to create a lyric video for it. I looked for pre-existing graphics that were fitting the lyrics and the meaning of the song, and also used some photos that I turned into graphics. I animated the graphics and the texts together to create a cohesive and meaningful video.
I made this music video for my song “Can’t dance the pain away”.
The concept I had for this video was to take photos of me dancing and animate them afterwards, to create a contrast between the movement/energy and the feeling of stillness/numbness.
I shot all individual photos and selected the ones that would create the most interesting movement once animated. Then, I animated each of them, moving the body parts as if the body was a puppet, which is reflected in the very last scene of the video.
L’aventure Croître is a personal development experience created by Thierry Redon and Cédric Parent, that regularly organized online workshops with experts from various fields.
The idea of making a video to celebrate its success and the growth of the participants came. The video is the result of a collaboration between a musician who wrote and recorded the song, an illustrator who drew the characters and backgrounds, and myself who animated these elements and used recordings from the workshops and the artists.
Chartboost is an American in-app monetization platform that helps app developpers and advertisers make their products more profitable.
I made a motion graphic design explainer video for Helium, an in-app unified auction created by Chartboost. Based on the voiceover that was recorded by Chartboost, I first made a storyboard. After it was approved, I animated the video using some pre-made graphics.
Since the target of this video was mobile game developers, I found it interesting to play with this aspect visually, for example by having game platforms turn into the waterfall design.
