“Lucy”

During the pandemic, while house-sitting for my best friend, I found inspiration in her cat, Lucy. The song reflects the chaos of the world and how Lucy reminded me to slow down, take care of myself, and enjoy the simple things—like following the sunbeams that fall through the window—amidst life’s heaviness.

For this project, I recorded all the guitars, synths, and flute, as well as the lead vocals, and directed and arranged the band members. The song was mixed by Tucker Hill of Honey House Records and mastered by Kevin Basko of Historic New Jersey.
