Game summary:
A BMX-powered pixel-art Metroidvania gore-fest based on the film Turbo Kid. You play as a lone warrior on a quest to cross a Wasteland riddled with scoundrels and creeps, whom you'll have to go through - literally - in order to survive.
Contributions to the project:
Turbo Kid was a 6 year long project, but I was only brought on board in the last 2 years when the project was in full production mode and the team needed a helping hand. I was in charge of designing all the menus and all the quests in the game. I was also tasked with updating the obsolete game documentation and creating any missing game documentation. Additionally, I had the opportunity to do a good bit of narrative writing to help out the writing team with in-game dialogues, journal entries and lore-specific collectibles. It’s also when I started on Turbo Kid that I got promoted to the Lead position to overview both the Design team and the Narrative team and give them some much needed oversight.
Tasks:
Team leading
UI menu design & mock ups
Game design documentation
Quest design
Narrative writing
