The Challenge

Standard productivity tools often suffer from low long-term user retention. The goal for Ascend was to solve “productivity fatigue” by engineering a reward-loop system that utilizes positive reinforcement (EXP, currency, and leveling systems) to drive daily active usage (DAU).
The Solution

I developed a full-stack, mobile-first application that treats task completion as a verifiable transaction. I focused on building a robust backend architecture that ensures data integrity for user progress while delivering a high-motion, responsive UI that provides immediate visual feedback.

Tech Stack

Front-End: React, Tailwind CSS, GSAP.

Back-End: Supabase (PostgreSQL, Auth, RLS).

Logic: Custom React Hooks & Context API for global state management.

Design: Figma (High-fidelity prototyping & Motion specs).
