Regina Lopez is a London-based film editor whose career spans narrative filmmaking, documentary, and commercial work. She began her journey in Mexico City, where she co-founded Violeta Films, an all-women production house dedicated to fostering female talent in audiovisual storytelling. During this time, she co-wrote, co-produced, and edited her first short film The Perpetual Ignorance of Common Sense, reflecting her deep interest in dystopian worlds and using fiction to explore the meaning of our own reality. She moved to London in 2018, where she pursued an MA in Editing and Post Production at LSBU while continuing her work in the commercial and film industries. She has led post-production for global brands and worked on documentary projects for BBC StoryWorks, as well as several wildlife conservation films.
