Hi, I’m Rolf Vanbosche a photographer specializing in architecture, heritage and industrial cultural spaces, with additional experience in product photography in studio and on site. I came across your LinkedIn post seeking a photographer for a temporary exhibition in which the building itself contributes to the visitor experience. This type of assignment aligns closely with my expertise in documenting architecture and the relationship between space, light, and storytelling. As a photographer, I am technically skilled and always ensure that both the lighting and colors are rendered realistically, without being distracting. My approach combines technical expertise with an artistic eye. I pay particular attention to accurate color reproduction, balanced lighting, and faithful representation of both interiors and objects, ensuring that the visual experience remains authentic and engaging. I completed a five-year photography study at the Academy of Fine Arts North in Antwerp, followed by an internship in an industrial photography studio under one of my professors. This foundation provided me with both artistic sensitivity and strong technical skills. Since establishing my freelance photography business in Antwerp in 2011, I have specialized in architectural and branding photography for businesses, cultural institutions, heritage properties, tourism enterprises, and historic buildings. Today, I am based in the Gers region of France and undertake assignments throughout France and the European Union, with a particular focus on France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, and Portugal.

Branding and Lifestyle Photography for BTV

This assignment was assigned to me thanks to targeted networking.
BTV: inspection for legally mandated and technical inspections

The assignment was to photograph all of BTV’s services for communication via the website and social media to potential customers.

To bring this assignment to a successful conclusion, I accompanied an employee for a day at a time to establish a bond and trust. During these days, I got to know the employee and their tasks well. Partly due to my technical background, I was able to capture these successfully, and the images were used by BTV for years.

In addition to these lifestyle and branding images, product photos of electrical components were also taken with a “good/bad” assignment.

Good, open communication with BTV’s planning department was essential for the smooth running of the photo shoots.

Photography of Boutique Hotel “Le Lignely”

This assignment was assigned to me thanks to targeted networking.

This project involved a family or boutique hotel located in an isolated valley, where a few highwaymen once hid. Now, it is a very small but charming village in the Belgian Ardennes.

After the hotel had been renovated and was ready for the opening, I was commissioned to take photos of the rooms, the restaurants, and the reception desk for use on social media and on Airbnb and Booking.com. Additionally, the restaurants were provided with wall decorations featuring the wild animals hiding in the Belgian Ardennes.

A shooting schedule was created for this hotel, which was communicated and discussed with the owner. A beautiful series of photos was delivered of the rooms, the restaurants, the petting zoo, and, of course, the wall decorations.

    Château de St. Yors

I received this commission to photograph a beautiful château in the south of France thanks to a recommendation from my network:

It concerns a historical heritage project whose history dates back to the 12th century. I was commissioned to create a series of atmospheric images of the château and the surrounding estate that capture the story and atmosphere of this beautiful château. The intention was to obtain images for an art book and for the sale of the château.

To capture the unique character of this château in my images, I focused on the magnificent finish and the many historical details found in and around the château, such as the hand-painted coat of arms of the “Lords of Montesquieu”.

The isolated location in the heart of nature is also a major asset, which I wanted to reflect in my images as well.

By combining all of this in my script, I was able to portray the château in all its splendor amidst the beauty of the rolling landscape of Southwest France.

Photography of "Village les Gottales" in the Belgian Ardennes.

I received this assignment for the photography of “Village les Gottales” thanks to a recommendation from my network:

The project involves a holiday village featuring original Ardennes half-timbered houses, with spectacular views of the surrounding valleys. The assignment consisted of photographing the village, its facilities, and the 41 holiday homes for communication via the holiday village’s website and social media.

Additionally, all holiday homes needed to be provided with wall decorations featuring a landscape or woodscape from the immediate surroundings.

To capture the unique character of this isolated holiday village, I focused on the authenticity of these holiday homes, the atmosphere, and the location of the “Village les Gottales” holiday village.

The landscape photography for the wall decorations required several explorations of the immediate area, allowing me to successfully bring the magic and the green splendor of the surroundings into the holiday homes as well. To bring this assignment to a successful conclusion, I have created a detailed script to capture the holiday village in all its splendor and beauty within the green surroundings of the Belgian Ardennes.
