    paper Step Forward

A short 2D SCAD film that was worked for all of our senior year. Basically, it’s about a boy feeling quite disheartened about the loss of his leg, fearing he won’t ever walk again. But upon opening a mysterious book, he was whisked away by cute creatures into a dreamy landscape. Despite finding new friends, it was when the monster decided to appear. It’s up to Ollie to accept what happened to him and to defeat the monster with his own hands. We had a lot more time to prepare and make the film this time around. So one of the most noticeable things I did was to create turnarounds and action poses for three magical creatures. I even had time to create logo ideas and a height chart for all of the creatures. As well as the line art for two background. As for the animation portion, I volunteered to do four shots in total. I created the rough animation for my teammates and proceeded to clean it all up with smooth line and colors with the help of their feedback. As well as helping out with shadow for other shots and some line art and timing.

    paper Tooth & Nail

A short hybrid SCAD film that portrays a chance for a vacation between two hardworking tooth fairies. The only catch is that they had to give their boss one thousand teeth. Well, after picking up ninety-nine teeth, the two fairies meet up at the same house to fight for the last tooth. The end results might be surprising to some people! One of the most noteworthy things I did to help was in the storyboarding section. I volunteered to create the fight scene, but due to the limited time of creating the film, we had to cut some of the fighting short. You can certainly see the original fight within my portfolio if you’re curious. Then I did a few odd jobs such as animating a book opening and flipping its page, a smoke trail along with a puff of smoke looking like a tooth, and creating both the vacation poster and final post card.

    paper On The Way Home

A short 2D SCAD film that was worked on for Winter Quarter. It’s about a girl mourning the loss of her cat. On the train ride home, she happened to fall asleep and awoke in a strange and unsettling world. We were tasked as a group to make a short film that feels like a clip in the middle of a movie. I was tasked as a background character animator, but did help out with one main character scene of her sitting down. Not to mention helping out with figuring out the concept art of said background characters.
