Strix Character

This is a personal project I am working on. The character is a strix that is a demon that is part of Greco-Roman folklore and is considered a creature that was a creature of ill omen that had a very piercing and shrieking cry. There were stories of how this creature would attack during the night tearing at the throats of infants and devouring flesh.
Generally noted to be of looking like an owl/human hybrid. It does say of avian looks, and because of it’s shapeshifting curse I could assume to add a bit more artist interpretation to my version of the design. Mine still follows the avian hybrid approach whilst mixing in features from other birds like condors and vultures. I feel like the rotten scavenger look whilst being still capable of quick and terrifying kills could lend well to creating how it would look. THus I have made mine look like it is cursed, rotting and seemingly enduring even its own suffering by making it look like it is decaying.
This model will be going through from concept and realised all the way into a 3d model.
