Hello, my name is Sven. I am a nerd 3D artist with a strong preference in creating environment art and props in both Unreal Engine and Unity, while having more skill in Unreal Engine. I am familiar with the full asset pipeline for game engines and have 3 years experience in the industry. I have worked on several VR and AR projects and games for the Unity game engine. Shipped projects I worked on: VR Cooking simulator, VR Tourist project, VR Tower survival game, AR (Augmented Reality) web shops and others. My personal projects were Unreal Engine projects. I am a team player and an excellent communicator. Also, I learn quickly. I have played many video games in my lifetime and this helped me develop my visual composition sense of environments and props. My skills - Blender - Substance Painter - Substance Designer - Adobe Photoshop - ZBrush - Adobe Illustrator - SpeedTree - Marmoset Toolbag - Adobe InDesign - Unity (game engine) - Unreal Engine (game engine) I hope to work in a friendly environment where people support each other and the boss is not sitting in a throne above the rest of the people. uniE621 Unreleased road kit asset pack for Unity
I was tasked with creating a modular road/tunnel/prop pack for the Unity engine. Unfortunately, the project hadn't made it through to the stores. The intention was for the assets to be procedurally generated along a spline in Unity. The assets were modeled and rendered in Blender, textured with Substance Painter and Substance Designer. The materials were rendered in Marmoset Toolbag. gameart 3d art unity modular 3d modeling rendering texturing blender substancepainter substancedesigner
    uniE621 Telescope replica
This telescope is a mid poly digital replica of a real telescope in KZC Milutin Milanković in Dalj, Croatia. It is a part of an VR exhibition of the location created in Unity engine. All work was done in Blender except the texturing, which was done in Substance Painter. 3d art 3d modeling rendering texturing blender substancepainter
uniE608 Hinterkaifeck clip - job test project
This was an art test project I created while applying for 3D artist jobs. The main reference for the entire visual identity of the clip is the Cipher YT channel video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVlbMBqoa3A animation documentary 3d art 3d modeling rendering texturing blender substancepainter
uniE621 Tower survival game made in Unity for VR
This is a VR game developed in the Unity Engine and published on Meta Quest games. The gameplay revolves around hordes of ghouls attacking your tower in waves. To defeat them you are presented with a wide array of arrows, grenades and other special abilities allowing you to use tactics to defeat as many ghouls as you can before you are overwhelmed. Your game score is shared in a global leaderboard. My responsibilities for this project included creating various environmental, prop and VFX assets. Aside from creating assets, I also contributed to the game mechanic design and balance. The assets were rendered in Blender and textured in Substance Painter. It was fun working on this one and it was even more fun playing it smiling_face I hope you like it! gameart 3d art unity 3d modeling rendering texturing blender substancepainter
uniE608 Animation about the inner workings of a human cell
This was my first large scale project in Blender from many years ago. It shows a cute animation of blood cells and their inner mechanisms. Made and rendered from scratch in Blender. Music from the video is: Dmitrij Šostakovič, "Waltz No. 2" biology animation 3d art 3d modeling rendering blender
uniE621 SciFi arena for a cancelled VR Unity multiplayer action game
This is one of 3 differently themed environments for a canceled VR sword + magic arena duel game for Unity engine. The main focal point in this arena is the large orb with the spikes in the middle of the arena. The arena was made and rendered in Blender and the textures in Substance Painter. The materials were rendered in Marmoset Toolbag. scifi gameart 3d art unrealengine 3d modeling rendering texturing blender substancepainter substancedesigner
    uniE608 Grand Roman Environment
I created this grand scene based on the incredible concept piece by Luis Medina - The City of Immortals: ArtworkThe City of Immortalsby Luis Medina This project was created in Unreal Engine 5.3 My main focus was creating a strong focal point at the largest Panthenon-like building in the middle of the scene combined with an impression of a very bright, sunny day. Most of the scene was made by me. Specifically for this project I wanted to go deeper into some sculpting and baking techniques for the required trims and ornaments present in the scene, as well as some light terrain sculpting. To achieve my goals I used Blender, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, ZBrush, Marmoset Toolbag and Photoshop. The cliffs, the grass, the trees and the statues were imported from asset packs/megascans. The assets were rendered in the main scene in UE with adjusted lighting strenght. The materials were rendered in Marmoset Toolbag. In this project I didn't use Nanite, instead I relied on UEs automatic LOD generation with some tweaks for screen % visibility. For Global Illumination I used Lumen. This project was made with the help from a tutorial made by Emiel Sleegers from FastTrack Tutorials. gameart 3d art unrealengine 3d modeling rendering texturing blender substancepainter substancedesigner
    uniE608 Medieval Town
I created this scene based on the amazing concept piece by Vincent Lau - Medieval Town This project was created in Unreal Engine 5.4 The goal of this project was to fully embrace modularity when creating a scene. This was a great opportunity for me to try out mesh displacement tools in Unreal Engine because of the abundance of brick-like materials which produce great results when displaced. Considering displacement adds an immense amount of geometry to the scene, I used Nanite to reduce the polygon count to a more reasonable amount. For Global Illumination I used Lumen. Most of the assets in the scene were created by me. From start to finish, the software I used in creating this project were: Blender, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, SpeedTree, ZBrush, Marmoset Toolbag and RizomUV. The towers, the grass, the trees and some props were imported from asset packs/megascans. The assets were rendered in the main scene in UE with adjusted lighting strenght. The materials were rendered in Marmoset Toolbag. uniE621 SciFi capsule for a small educational Solar Systam journey
This project was about being tasked to create a small, one-man SciFi capsule. The capsule was integrated in the Unity engine to be a part of a small VR space exploration application. With it, one can travel through the solar system and explore the planets from various distances. There are also narrations with some interesting facts about the visiting planet and afterwards there is a small quiz. The capsule was rendered in Blender and the trim sheets, which were combined and polished in Substance Painter, were rendered in Marmoset Toolbag. scifi gameart 3d art 3d modeling unity rendering texturing blender substancepainter
uniE621 3D furniture models for a web shop
I was tasked with creating these beds and sofas for an AR web shop. Modeled and rendered in Blender, textured with Substance Painter. These are higher polygon and 2k texture assets for rendering purposes. The shop version use 0.5k textures and the models are heavily decimated, which is impossible to see on a phone. Optimization! uniE621 3D glasses for a web shop
I have created over 200 3D glasses for a web shop for mobile devices made with some integration of the Unity engine. Modeled in Blender and textured and rendered in Substance Painter. AR 3d art 3d modeling unity rendering texturing blender substancepainter
    uniE608 VRGR8 Web banner animation
This one was a very fun and short project to create, since I am not usually doing hardsurface or SciFi environments. I was tasked with creating a looped animation of a SciFi tunnel with bright neon elements and a double layered space (1 inner and 1 outer tunnel). The main repeating shape is the main VRGR8 branding logo. This scene is relatively simple, but offers an impression of complexity mostly thanks to the textures with parallax shading (only in the beauty shots) and strong lighting elements. All work on the project was done in Blender, aside from a few texture adjustments in Substance Painter. Materials were rendered in Marmoset Toolbag. pagebanner 3d art 3d modeling rendering texturing blender substancepainter
