    uniE608 Daydream Believer
Daydream Believer is a surreal and lighthearted animation project I created in 2024 as part of my exploration into 3D character design, photogrammetry, and motion capture. While it’s not a fully polished piece, it reflects a range of animation techniques and storytelling experiments. The main character, a quirky sausage-shaped woman sculpted out of clay, was brought to life using photogrammetry, scanned with Polycam, and refined digitally in Maya. The environment was also based on a 3D scan of my local area, adding an eerie, dreamlike realism to the scene. In the animation, the clay character dreams of becoming a glamorous singer. As her performance begins, she’s unexpectedly joined by a mysterious dancing bear, who seems to appear from another layer of her dream. The bear was also animated using Rococo motion capture and composited into the scene using split-screen and layered editing. Although the story is abstract, it gave me the chance to experiment with character pipelines, motion capture, and dreamlike visual design in a playful and experimental way.
paper Bedroom Animation – Award-Winning Short

This is Digital Echoes, my award-winning animation project that earned a Bronze Creative Conscience Award. I created the entire project independently, from concept and storyboarding to animation and post-production.

The film explores themes of emotional connection in a digitized world and uses visual storytelling to reflect on the tension between human emotion and technological noise. My goal was to use movement, colour, and silence to create a space for reflection.

paper Leah Wright – Creative Showreel 2025
This showreel showcases a selection of my recent creative work across animation, video editing, game design, and immersive media. Dance & Motion Capture Collaboration (Video 1 & 2) These two videos were created in collaboration with the London Contemporary Dance School. I edited both pieces independently and animated the digital characters using motion capture data. The second video features projection work by my creative partner, Rithwik Mohan, using Kinect. I later recorded and edited the footage, integrating it with animated visuals for a split-screen sequence that captures both the physical and digital performances. Digital Echoes – Creative Conscience Award Winner (Video 3) This solo project earned a Bronze Award from the Creative Conscience competition. I handled all aspects of the video—from concept to execution—exploring themes of digital reflection and emotional connection. Shop Smart Game (Video 4) A short video showcasing my game Shop Smart, a task-based VR experience designed to simulate grocery shopping while encouraging memory retention and accessibility. Players must follow a list to complete their shop, promoting attention to detail and real-world application. Sight Beyond VR (Video 5) A final glimpse of my immersive project Sight Beyond, where visual impairment is simulated through gameplay. This clip complements a separate, more detailed breakdown already featured elsewhere on this platform. 3danimation motioncapture unity3d creativedirector videoproduction animator illustrator videoeditor

uniE608 Sight Beyond – VR Escape Room Game (1-Min Trailer)
Sight Beyond is a VR escape room game designed to raise awareness of visual impairments through immersive gameplay. As the Creative Director, I led the concept, level design, visual style, and gameplay mechanics, simulating blurred vision to encourage communication and empathy between players. This trailer shows a short walkthrough of the game’s environment and cooperative play dynamic. The project was featured in the UAL Showcase and built in Unity. My focus was on designing an emotional, accessible experience with minimal UI and maximum environmental storytelling. This VR environment is part of Sight Beyond, a two-player escape room game designed to simulate sight impairments. In this level, the VR player experiences Tritanopia (blue-yellow color blindness) while navigating a detailed library space with the help of a sighted partner. I directed the design and visual adjustments for this level, using color grading and spatial audio cues to enhance accessibility and collaboration. The environment was created in Unity and showcased as part of my final major project at UAL.
