Tom wanted this song to be a real summer banger - something you’d dance along to at a BBQ with a beer (or your cold refreshing drink of choice) in your hand.

We recorded the drums at RAK Studios, and the rest at my personal studio. I was the producer, recording engineer, mix engineer and programmer on this track.

Tom wanted this track to sound really delicate and vulnerable, not too full but also not too empty. We spent a lot of time getting the vocal production and arrangements right, blending lo-fi and hi-fi sounds.

Tom came to me with a simple piano demo, which together we built into a dreamy synth-drenched track, sounding really big and full. We wanted a real blend of lo-fi and hi-fi on this track, with everything from big warm analog synth lines (played on a real Juno 106) to cold and edgy pianos recorded on an iPhone.
