I grew up immersed in jazz, having started playing jazz piano at the age of 12. This passion led me to pursue formal studies in jazz piano and composition at university. Over the years, I’ve released several original jazz albums, honored with the Croatian Porin Award — the equivalent of a national Grammy — for Best Jazz Album and Best Jazz Composition. In addition, I have been recognized six times by the Croatian Musicians Union as the country’s Best Jazz Pianist. Beyond my solo work, I’ve contributed to over 30 successful jazz albums and projects and composed original music for various theater productions. Since the age of 17, I’ve performed in a wide range of professional settings — from pop/rock bands to classical orchestras, big bands, and national TV festival orchestras. I’ve collaborated with internationally renowned artists including the Harlem Gospel Choir and 2Cellos, among many other exceptional musicians. I’m fluent in all musical styles and pride myself on having no creative boundaries. I was raised on vintage jazz and classical music, but I’m equally comfortable with modern sounds and production techniques. However, over the past six years, cinematic music has become my deepest artistic calling. It’s a sound world where emotion, atmosphere, and storytelling live at the core of everything I create. Each composition I write begins with a feeling — a vivid inner image — which I then strive to express through music. My ultimate dream is to become a film composer. I believe my greatest strength lies in my emotional sensitivity and intuitive understanding of musical storytelling. Alongside composing, I’ve worked as a producer and arranger on major projects in Croatia for the past 18 years. I founded and ran Highway Studio, where I developed advanced skills in recording, mixing, and production — working with both analog and digital gear, from vintage preamps to modern software. I’ve also had the privilege of serving as producer and arranger for the Slovenian National Jazz Orchestra, creating orchestrations and big band arrangements. I have a deep love for the full spectrum of musical colors and textures, and I’m driven by a passion for authenticity and originality in every genre I explore.
