LA based composer, music producer, songwriter, and performing artist Angela Sheik creates indie pop, alt pop, orchestral pop hybrid, cinematic dark pop, and 1940s-influenced jazz pop. Her custom music can be heard in ad campaigns including match.com, Toyota, and ADIDAS, as well as a long list of film / TV spots. Highly collaborative, Sheik loves to work solo as well as with select creative teams. Influences include Sevdaliza, Labrinth (Euphoria score), Son Lux / Ryan Lott, Imogen Heap, Massive Attack, Bjork, and The Andrews Sisters. Formerly a Philadelphia-area orchestra teacher, Sheik's training in education informs her efforts as composer as well as a community organizer.
