Asha Dahya is an Emmy-nominated Producer, writer, TEDx speaker and storyteller. Asha was born in the UK, raised in Australia, and now resides in Los Angeles, California. She has spent the last 20 years creating, producing and hosting content for networks and organizations such as MTV, MSN.com, Disney, ABC, Nickelodeon, Fox, the ACLU, Supermajority, Snapchat, Nine Network Australia and more. Asha is the director and producer of an award-winning short documentary about later abortion called SOMEONE YOU KNOW. She created, Executive Produced and co-hosted an audio and video series about Latin America’s Green Wave abortion rights movement called GREEN TIDE RISING, which was nominated for a Webby Award in the U.S., and a One World Media award in the UK, both in 2025. In 2024, Asha was nominated for an Emmy Award for her work producing the short film MY NAME IS SIRI, an autism awareness documentary that premiered on PBS. Asha is the founder of a daily feminist digital magazine called GirlTalkHQ.com, which spawned a book deal in 2018. She is the author of ‘Today’s Wonder Women: Everyday Superheroes Who Are Changing The World’, featuring inspirational stories of 50 women and girls.
