I am Andrew Zhou, a composer, producer, filmmaker, and educator based in London. I work at the intersection of art, sound, and ecology, and I founded Treephonia to create outdoor and digital works that bring people together with living landscapes. I coordinate commissions, partnerships, and public engagement, and I oversee technical requirements for performances and installations, from sound systems to audio-visual production. I hold a Global Talent visa endorsed by Arts Council England and I continue to collaborate with a wide network of composers, musicians, and artists. In addition to creating new work, I teach piano, theory, and composition, and I regularly perform as a solo artist. My practice has earned awards such as the Elgar Memorial Prize for Composition, and I have participated in artist residencies in Beppu and Hjorted. I am committed to interdisciplinary collaboration and to making contemporary music, film, and sound installations accessible to diverse audiences.
