uniE621 ‘Making the Impossible Possible’ Campaign
The ‘Making the Impossible Possible’ campaign celebrates the partnership that makes great Australian creative works possible. A series of ‘impossible’ portraits of prominent Australians in the arts were commissioned to celebrate each of the Wesfarmers Arts partnerships including: Teddy Tahu Rhodes (WA Opera), Carl Vine (Musica Viva), John Bell (Bell Shakespeare), Peter Evans (Bell Shakespeare), Satu Vänskä (ACO), Kylie Liang (WASO) and Sarah Hepburn (WA Ballet) with more to come. The campaign is spread over posters, cast sheets and program ads.
uniE621 Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School | Website
Our studio concepted and re-designed a new website for Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School focusing on increased usability and integrating new technology including updated mobile integration and improved user experience. How else could we represent a school that’s bursting with activity other than with an animated home page! … A child blowing bubbles, a school boarder sleeping with animated clouds wafting gently above their head, a child cupping a feather that’s bristling in the wind, a teen flipping through a book… all running simultaneously as you arrive at the home page. Cutting edge ‘Cinemagraphs’ (or selectively animated photographs) were created of students in the surrounding bushland, each image representing a website section click-through. These scenes were shot and ‘selected’ areas were manually animated (this was created before the now ubiquitous animation creation apps). The images were all shot within the schools grounds, showcasing Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School’s sense of place and strong point of difference between themselves and other schools targeting the schools website brief to showcase their unique environment. The clean design, seamlessly integrated an abundance of useful information for prospective parents and with carefully art directed photography that revealed the caring atmosphere that surrounds this unique community. Relevant news stories would pop-up on each page keeping the website ever fresh. It was a website that grew with the school as they created and added, more and more content. branding graphicdesigner webdesigner designer photo
    uniE621 Luminous World Exhibition
Wesfarmers Arts and Art Gallery of Western Australia The Luminous World Exhibition brings together over 50 artists’ contemporary paintings and photographs from the Wesfarmers Collection of Australian Art in a conversation about light or the absence of. The client’s brief was 'to be simple and radiant’. A branding concept built out of stars was chosen as it best represented light and dark together. There were also many references to celestial bodies and the heavens within the works. The challenge was to represent the ephemeral quality of light across all the branding and to bring the exhibition together as coherent whole, complimenting the artworks without overpowering them. Along with the core branding, diagonal lines were used to representing light beams which then morph into geometric star patterns. In the catalogue these star patterns were printed in a clear varnish, only revealing themselves on certain angles when catching the light. Metallic inks, varnishes, gilt edging and reflective vinyls were used throughout the exhibition and marketing materials, to literally reflect light. Online invites and advertising were created with stars that gently faded in and out, sparklingly as they would in the night sky. Backlit light boxes were used for the roadside advertising, acting as shining beacons along dimly lit highways. uniE621 Dental Quarters Branding
The client wanted a boutique brand for their new dental clinic that would evoke a sense of old-fashioned personalised service whilst also alluding to the use of the most modern equipment and techniques. The logomark also needed to be applied to subsequent practices that opened in the future. The first ‘Dental Quarters’ practice was to be located in a newly renovated 1920’s cinema with original features being retained and used as inspiration for the contemporary fit out.
uniE621 West Australian Symphony Orchestra Season Branding
A campaign revolving around a 2.5 metre WASO logo (that we discovered would float!) and musicians from the orchestra shot in and around Perth by local photographer, Matt Galligan. While the magnitude of the musical program is given its due promotion, it is the WASO musicians that take centre stage. The campaign saw location shoots at the Beach, Rob’s Jetty, the Perth hills, the Old Swan Brewery, King Street, Perth Concert Hall, Northbridge and a number of locations in Kings Park.
