About
I’m Caroline Joy, a soprano who has worked with some of the world’s greatest orchestras and conductors. I have also worked with hundreds of clients as an online session singer.
Career highlights so far include many operatic roles, performing with the BBC Singers, London Voices and Vocals Unlimited, singing live on BBC Radio 3 and regularly recording in Abbey Road Studios for major film franchises and artists including Danny Elfman, Nightwish and Audiomachine.
I have a rich tone, a wide vocal range (F3 to C6) and can adapt my voice to suit different musical styles. I sing in many languages and perform many of the classic opera arias for soprano. I can sing without vibrato if needed. I have recorded vocals for many genres from opera and classical to music theatre, EDM to heavy metal!
As a composer and arranger trained at Durham University, I can also bring my own creative ideas to a project when needed. I work from my own studio.

Composer Matthew Weaver commissioned me to sing this beautiful art song, and to record and produce the video in December 2022. In his words, this song is an exploration of "an optimistic perspective on death through the story of a fragile oak leaf finding one last burst of energy before letting go and soaring to a new place." video explainervideo videoeditor soprano onlinesinger sessionsinger remoterecording classicalmusic classicalsinger operasinger opera
