Born to a Korean mother and a Taiwanese father, I was exposed to a great range of cultural cinema throughout my upbringing. The fusion of my background in creative writing and my interest in film was what ultimately drew me towards writing for the screen. My work consists primarily of scripts, creative essays, and poems, many of which have been internationally awarded. Since placing in the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), my screenplay was a Finalist at the National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY). Notably, my debut film was selected by and screened at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. Having been admitted to the University of California, I completed a feature-length screenplay under the guidance of industry professionals in my own time. Aside from writing, I often explore hobbies that pique my interest, such as scrapbooking, rock climbing, and playing the guitar.
