[Blue Lotus Neuropsychology](https://www.twine.net/signin is a psychological and neuropsychological testing practice based in Evanston, Illinois. I partnered with the practice prior to launch, making this a full end-to-end engagement spanning brand identity, website design and development, and ongoing management.
The Challenge
Blue Lotus was preparing to open with no name, identity, or online presence. The goal was to communicate trust, professionalism, and care to patients navigating complex evaluations.
Objectives included:
Building the Brand
I began with naming and brand consultation, researching similar practices across Chicagoland. Once Blue Lotus Neuropsychology was selected, I developed the visual identity.
Lotus imagery is common in health spaces, so the goal was distinction. The final logo uses overlapping translucent blue forms to reflect layered assessment and the process of untangling cognitive patterns.
Deliverables included:
This ensured consistency across digital and print.
Website Version 1: Fast Launch
To establish an online presence quickly, I launched the initial site on Squarespace, allowing patient outreach without delay.
As the site expanded, limitations became clear:
Squarespace worked short term but was not sustainable.
Website Version 2: Custom and Scalable
After launch, I migrated the site to a custom build using a static site generator, a headless CMS, and reliable hosting.
This provided:
Self-managed hosting keeps costs predictable while allowing future integrations and growth.
Ongoing Support
Blue Lotus remains an ongoing management client. I handle:
This allows the team to focus on patient care while their site remains secure and supported.
The Outcome
Blue Lotus launched with a cohesive brand, a clear website, and a technical foundation built for growth.
Most importantly, the site helps prospective patients understand services, feel confident reaching out, and trust the practice from the first interaction.
