About
Hi everyone. At the age of eight, a Commodore 64, limited English, and books from the library started my journey into software development. What began as a hobby is now both my profession and my passion. Since then, I have been less fascinated by any particular programming language than by how technologies work and how they become good products.
Today, AI makes code cheap and fast to produce. Good engineering is therefore more important than ever. What matters is understanding requirements, making architectural decisions, and being able to read, assess, and take responsibility for the result in the code. I combine technical thinking with a strong eye for detail, design, and usability. A solid foundation matters to me as much as speed: a PoC or MVP should prove an idea early without unnecessarily blocking its later development. Frameworks come and go. That is why I focus on clear interfaces and replaceable components. For me, modern software development starts with strong specifications, written upfront or refined together with AI during implementation. This turns software as a service increasingly into service as software: custom software that performs real work for people and companies. Warm regards, Dominic Beinenz
