Hi, I’m Matthew Brown, a passionate composer and music supervisor with a DMA in Composition from the University of Southern California. I specialize in creating innovative music briefs, supervising music production, and mentoring students in theory and composition. My work as a tenor singer with the Los Angeles Master Chorale and as a session singer has enriched my understanding of music across many genres.
I enjoy teaching and have experience as an adjunct professor at several universities including Pepperdine University and Caltech. I pride myself on creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment and love helping students discover their unique musical voices. Outside of teaching and composing, I collaborate with top artists and contribute to some exciting projects in media, film, and live performances.
