This film explores how scale-out architecture can make servers and microservers more energy efficient. Instead of relying on powerful single-core systems that waste energy when handling many small cloud processes, scale-out computing distributes tasks across a large number of smaller computing nodes.

Through the work of Leti and its Euroserver project partners, this approach has been improved and implemented as an alternative to traditional server architectures. These new microservers not only reduce energy waste, but also open the way to more decentralized computing, bringing part of the processing closer to users, reducing pressure on the cloud, and enabling new applications.
