As a Communication Arts major at VCU I focus on both traditional and digital illustration, mainly in portraiture and figurative subjects. My paintings explore dynamic compositions of fantasy scenes and environments, and I often take inspiration from classical and religious artwork. I also enjoy working with video; I grew up experimenting with programs like After Effects to create fan work of the games and media I love, and am continuing to study video editing at VCU. More recently I've started incorporating my original artwork into my video editing, as well as experimenting with animation and motion graphics. I’ve taken up freelancing, retail, and tabling at art markets while studying for my degree, but I hope to use my skills as an artist and editor to be part of wide scale collaborative projects for visual media such as games, television, and animation.
