Hi there! I’m the founder and director of “The Oval Update,” a global track and field news organization. In this role, I do everything from interviewing world-class athletes and coaches to managing freelancers and developing the back and front ends of our website. I’ve primarily worked as a freelance writer and editor since graduating from the University of Saskatchewan in 2019 with my MFA in writing, often leaning into my expertise in health science (BSc Hons in Kinesiology, Dalhousie University). For instance, I’ve written more than 3,000 articles for some of the most-visited health websites in the world, including Healthline Media and Medical News Today. I also regularly work on more creative projects and have fiction publications in journals such as the Bryant Literary Magazine and the Red Rock Review. My novella “Since You Lost Your Brother” was published in 2017. As a photographer, I’ve traveled around the world, covering events such as the 2025 World University Games in Germany.
