I am a Dublin-based mixing engineer, producer, and songwriter with over two decades of experience across recording, touring, and music production. My work has focused mainly on the rock, indie, and pop and acoustic songwriter genres. After launching my career as a professional recording and touring artist in 2000, I spent the better part of sixteen years performing across the US and Europe, accumulating a deep understanding of music from the inside out. Along the way, I was lucky to find myself working in some of the world's most storied studios — including Electric Lady Studios and The Hit Factory in New York, as well as Trout Recording, The Clubhouse, Windmill Lane, and Grouse Lodge — absorbing the craft and culture of world-class audio production. In 2016, I stepped back from the road and leaned into what had always driven me: writing, producing, and getting the mix just right. I founded Dark Horse Studio in 2025 to bring a personal project to life — and once that was done, it was clear the studio had more to offer.
