I use expert illustration, design and ideation skills to create delightful consumer-facing concepts in child-at-heart-channels including toys, education, publishing, home décor, collectibles, pets, sports and more. With concepting skills honed in toy invention studios for 10+ years, I developed the habit of taking on the 'hard tasks' in subsequent roles - to solve and resolve issues that crop up in visual, product and/or process related factors. My approach is wholistic and strategic so no matter what a project needs, the solve will be based on a foundation that understands product assortment, style guidelines, packaging, merchandising, and strategic targeting of new customers and channels. When in an integrated/internal perspective I’ve managed whole product lines from napkin sketch to warehouse, transformed lines for new/exclusive North American branding on Amazon channel, and juggle multiple projects routinely. I create packages of technical specifications and creative concepts that streamline licensor approvals and move through manufacturing with efficiency and quality assurance. My communications flex to reach all stake holders: licensors, manufacturers, marketing and external creative supports – and can feed directly into merchandising, point of purchase, and packaging points.
