Hi, I'm Miri Owens. I'm self employed and currently work namely in the architectural drafting field, although I have experience with book illustration, both set and character design, and 2D game prop design/development. While I have plenty of experience working with art in a number of mediums, from markers to paint to stamps, I namely do digital art using Procreate at the moment. I'm very detailed oriented and work hard to keep my work consistent and cohesive throughout each project, whether it's architectural or art based. I am more than happy to research subjects to make sure whatever I'm making is accurate to the subject given and make a point of keeping track of whatever information I use for that future. I'm also happy to create new art styles as needed for projects (as seen in my art gallery within my own personal projects.)

    uniE621 Architectural Door Diagram
A diagram I drew based on another diagram I found of doors while learning architectural terminology. The point of it was to be able to print it out and keep it as reference for work. art architecture procreate architecturalterminology drawing digitalart
    uniE621 Apartment Floor Plan
A layout for a potential apartment I made in AutoCAD LT for the purpose of attempting to make a rough layout of where furniture could go/what would fit. This obviously isn't the version with furniture, as I made a version with room dimensions to send to the landlord as a "thank you" and in hopes they might use it instead of the...lackluster floor plans they had up on their site in the future. architecture AutoCADLT architecturaldrafting
    uniE621 Headshot
First attempt at drawing an original character digitally in full color and shading (hence the color reference off to the side.) illustrator illustration art drawing digitalart
    uniE621 Bath
An original character as a kid. Part of a whole series of drawings of this character as a kid actually, although this is one of the only ones that got anything official looking made out of it. illustrator illustration art drawing digitalart
    uniE621 Ganesha
Inspired by my dad's interest in Ganesha (lore-wise), and my interest in both the consistencies and variations in his design over the years. I also really like drawing both varying body types and lots of details so this was pretty fun once I figured out how I was going to draw everything. illustrator illustration art drawing digitalart
uniE621 "Hat in the Hat" (parody)
As with the rest of the parodies, this is meant to be a prop that I can just copy and paste onto the cover of a book to fill out an illustration so I don't have to redraw them every time, leading to more consistency and continuity throughout my art. The snarky humor is toned down significantly in comparison to the cereal packaging ones, only really making fun of the concept I went with being weird and how reading the same book to kids over and over again can be a lot sometimes. illustrator illustration art drawing digitalart
    uniE621 "Cereal" (parody)
An obvious parody of Cheerios, meant to be used to fill in areas in bigger art pieces instead of me having to redraw logos over and over again, in an effort to create both consistency and continuity throughout my art, while showing my snarky sense of humor if anyone wants to look closely at the details. illustrator illustration art drawing digitalart
    uniE621 "Sugary Pieces" (parody)
A parody prop, obviously meant to be at the expense of Frosted Flakes. The intention of this piece was that I could insert this image into other art pieces and use it to fill in props like cereal boxes so that I didn't have to redraw things like that repeatedly, although it turned into a whole project involving making fun of the whole issue with furries taking a bit too much of a liking to Tony the tiger for Frosted Flakes' tastes and how much sugar is in cereal in general. All in all a good representation of how snarky my humor can be. illustrator illustration art drawing digitalart
    uniE621 Kitchen Design
A design for an apartment kitchen for an original character of mine (based on the floor plan sketch also posted). illustrator illustration art drawing digitalart
    uniE621 Mockup Floor Plan
A mockup of an apartment floor plan for an original character of mine in the hopes that I could design more official shots of said apartment down the line based on it. illustrator illustration art drawing digitalart
    uniE621 STA Apocalypse Shower
Having no running water (for a plethora of reasons), it occurred to me that this character would have a rough time finding water that's safe to bathe in (especially when a lot of the standing water is likely contaminated with something or other). That lead to a lot of brainstorming and me eventually landing on him having to rely on rain for it as that's likely the *least* contaminated water (although I'd say nothing's 100% safe given his weird skin discoloration and facial features.) illustrator illustration art drawing digitalart
    uniE621 STA Sick
Inspired by getting the flu for a month, then promptly getting pneumonia from that, this is another expression of how bad it is to have to fend for yourself when you're far from at your best. illustrator illustration art drawing digitalart
