As the illustrator of the book "Imagine a Garden" commissioned by Collins Big Cat, I had the pleasure of bringing the author's vision to life through my artwork. This beautiful book takes readers on a journey through a peaceful garden, immersing them in a guided meditation experience.
The illustrations were my opportunity to capture the essence of a serene garden, full of vibrant flowers, buzzing bees, and fluttering butterflies. Each illustration was carefully crafted to complement the text, inviting readers to lose themselves in the story and experience the garden through my artwork.
One of the unique features of this book is its focus on cultural diversity. The story introduces children from all around the world to the practice of meditation, encouraging them to explore their inner selves and connect with their surroundings. The diverse representation of characters in the book allows children from different backgrounds and cultures to see themselves reflected in the story.

The white ban flower is a symbol of the purity and innocence of Thai women, as well as a symbol of the faithful love of Ban and Khum in a legendary love story - Vietnam's Romeo and Juliet.

This illustration was inspired by the spiritual connection between nature and the Nung - an Ethnic Minority Group in the northern border provinces of Vietnam.
The Nung People believe that swallows are an ancient symbol, rich in spiritual metaphors. The birds have long been seen poetically as eternal symbols of spring, sacred messengers, and bridges between Earth and Heaven. They are likened to special planes that transport all happenings, wishes, and tributes of mortals to their supreme beings, and vice versa.
In this illustration, the Nung people, being carried by the dedicated swallows, are honoring their beliefs with traditional cuisines, which are all portrayed as vegan food.

The rooster's crow finally brings the sun back, and now it's a signal to wake up for the Hmong people. A gentle and hardworking animal, the buffalo is associated with the lives of villagers and a symbol of wet-rice culture. Not only having an important role in economic development, the buffalo is also associated with the culture and beliefs of the Tay and Nung people. The ritual of worshiping the buffalo takes place every year to give thanks to the buffalo god and the field god.
