Giorgio Paleologo is an animator, storyboard artist, and concept artist focused on emotionally grounded storytelling and expressive visual design. A 2026 graduate of the School of Visual Arts’ BFA Animation program, Giorgio combines traditional animation principles with cinematic composition and character-driven narratives that balance sincerity, humor, and atmosphere.
Their experience includes working as an Artist Assistant at Plymptoons Studio on the Academy Award–nominated short film Duckville, where they contributed coloring, shading, cleanup, scanning, and production organization within a professional traditional animation pipeline. Giorgio also studied character animation internationally at GOBELINS, l’École de l’Image in Paris and completed additional training in animation, game design, and programming through programs at Rhode Island School of Design, Animation Mentor, Vancouver Film School, and Noble Desktop.
As a filmmaker, Giorgio co-directed the thesis short Boredom is a Beast, leading story development, animation, editing, sound design, and character design. Their work stands out for its strong emotional subtext, symbolic shot composition, and ability to make stylized stories feel deeply human and relatable. With skills spanning 2D animation, storyboarding, compositing, Maya, Unity, and traditional frame-by-frame techniques, Giorgio brings both artistic sensitivity and technical versatility to collaborative and independent productions.
