I started making music when I was 16 years old. I used to hear that it was too late to become a good musician, and I proved them wrong. Being a self-made musician for a long time, I played in different bands, took private lessons in harmony, and learned to solo, which gave me a broad range of experience. I’ve always been drawn to film music, and I love dramaturgy, experiments, and exploring new forms, writing music across various genres — that’s exactly what I’ve been chasing.
However, there were no options to study as a film composer in Russia, so when I learned about Moscow Film School, I rushed there without hesitation. The head of the program, Yuri Poteyenko, has work on Night Watch and Day Watch, Doctor Liza, and The Space Walker. My long independent research helped me develop my own style, complemented by the academic and technical knowledge I gained. I’ve worked on diverse projects for Samsung, Storytel, Okko, and more, and my music has been performed by the Open Sound Orchestra at Mosfilm — one of Russia’s most respected film-music ensembles. I also maintain a solo project and continue to perform as a guitarist across various cover and original projects.
