General Maintenance Worker at Ivy Farm

May 1, 2021 - June 18, 2024

Responsible for general maintenance around the family’s property rental business including management of holiday cottages. Daily duties involved checking and maintaining biomass boilers that heat and provide hot water for the cottages, cleaning and preparing cottages on turnover days, maintaining hot tub chemical levels, guest greeting and assistance. Gained experience in garden landscaping using a range of handheld and power tools, mowing lawns (including drive-on mower), driving a small tractor to deliver equipment, pruning fruit trees, and clearing leaves. Worked collaboratively with family and colleagues to ensure the smooth running of rental properties and animal care.
